Provenance Notes:
A Martyrology for the use of Aberdeen, written sometime after 1552 in Moray and Aberdeen. The obituaries contained in the book seem to connect it directly with the Cathedral Church of Moray at Elgin. It was owned successively by Alexander Gordoun (possibly the bishop-elect of Moray and an administrator of the diocese of Caithness), Patrick Dunbar (succentor of Moray), and James Spens (possibly Sir James Spens of Wormiston). It was presented to the library in 1677 by Laurence Charteris, Professor of Theology in Edinburgh.
