Description:

Depicts the actress Mrs Nicol (d. 1834?) as Miss Grizelda Oldbuck in a stage adaptation of Sir Walter Scott's novel The Antiquary. The Antiquary was adapted for the stage by Daniel Terry and first performed at Covent Garden, London, in January 1820. The print was engraved by Lizars from his own design.
